William Andrew Jones passed away on December 7, 2006 at Nanaimo, BC. Bill was a Life member of the Building Officials' Association of BC, and a long service employee of the District of West Vancouver. To read more, please click below.

E-Store
As the old store has been demolished, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the Grand Opening of our new "E-Store".
The "E-Store" link shown above, will direct you to our official supplier of store items available for purchase at great rates, not only from open stock, but for bulk purchases. The only caveat being that the official "boabc" logo appear on whichever garment or item to be purchased, so we may promote our organization wherever the garment or item is used or shown. The logo is the lower case "boabc" in dark blue or pewter color, depending on the background.
Our "Store Manager", Debbie Thomas is available to help with anything you may have in the way of questions or stock availability, delivery times and pricing. You can contact her directly at dt@imagegroupinc.ca, or through their website www.imagegroupinc.ca with inquiries. All items are generally prepaid, unless Debbie makes specific arrangements with you otherwise.

Greening the Building Code
The Building Officials' Association of BC in cooperation with the
British Columbia Building & Safety Policy Branch, Ministry of
Housing & Social Development and the Electricity & Alternative
Energy Division, Ministry of Energy, Mines & Resources are
delivering Education Seminars across BC in September 2008.

This is an open invitation to all members having the designation "Registered Building Official" or "Building Code Qualified". The BOABC Examination Development Committee requests your participation through submitting sample test questions for our computer-graded Level 3 examinations.
All sample questions should be based primarily on 2006 BC Building Code Division B Part 3 in a multiple-choice format. The attached guidelines based on ICC's "Question Writing Instructions" should be used to construct examination questions.
You may submit your sample questions to jennifer@boabc.org for the attention of Chairman of the Examination Development Committee.
